A Foggy Sunrise at Lake Sils & Ofenpass

Today began with an ambitious mission – to capture the elusive sunrise at Lake Sils. As I set out, I couldn't help but notice the thick shroud of fog that enveloped the landscape. Hopeful that the fog would lift by the time I reached the lake, I pressed on.

Unfortunately, the fog persisted, obscuring the sunrise that I had hoped to witness. Nevertheless, I persevered, and the moody, misty atmosphere added an unexpected and mystical quality to my photographs. It was a testament to the unpredictability of nature and the beauty it could offer even when plans didn't go as expected.

Back at our apartment, Sylvie and our faithful Border Collies, Awen and Nessy, joined me. We decided to embark on a new adventure, taking a scenic drive over the Ofenpass. The journey presented us with breathtaking views of the Engadin region, and the dogs enjoyed the wind in their fur as we navigated the winding roads.

Even when the weather didn't align with our desires, each moment in St. Moritz was an opportunity to embrace the beauty of the present, whether it was in the mystical fog at Lake Sils or the majestic vistas from the Ofenpass. Our journey had been a reminder to appreciate every facet of nature's wonders, and we looked forward to whatever surprises the next day had in store for us.Read more
