Lisbon
November 14, 2022 in Portugal ⋅ ☁️ 17 °CA beautiful spacious city.
A beautiful spacious city.
Lloy and l.
Lots of narrow, bumpy, cobblestone streets up and down hills. Quaint little shops along the way.
A little fishing village where the rich people live.
Monserrata high up in the mountains.
Now owned and maintained by the state.
The most beautiful gardens here. Full of cork trees.
Pictures 3 & 10. Cork trees which are harvested every nine years.
Where they make the best Portuguese tarts (10).
Many handbags and handicrafts made out of cork.
Very hilly here.
The cutest little town.
Lloy, me, Gerd (expedition activity leader), Pawel (archeologist), Lisa (translator).
Gerd will stay on board the ship as it goes back to Germany where it will sit in dry dock until next March.

We climbed hundreds of steps to get to the romantic terrace of Santa Luzia in the oldest quarter of Alfama to get this view. It was a very long, steep climb.
Home of Fado music.
Parked beside us in Lisbon.
