A lazy Brasov day

Time for a go slow day today. Had a lovely sleep in at my awesome swish apartment and got up in time for lunch. Decided that my parking spot just outside my apartment was too good to give up, and didn’t want to have to find parking in old town so took an Uber into the old town. Good choice as the old town was packed on this Sunday afternoon.

It was slightly cooler today so easy to walk around the old city without the heat. I started with the ‘Black church’. Not the most interesting inside but has pews that you can reverse the direction of like a Sydney train. The most interesting thing was watching a pair of goths posing in front of the tombs. When in Dracula land, why not hey.

Just wandered the old town and then to the cable car station to go up the hill 🚠. Decided against joining the huge line to take the cable car up, and given I was puffing after only just walking the stairs to the station decided to not hike the hill.

The old town was full of outdoor dining between the history buildings of the old town area. I had a chuckle at the coffee shop next to Starbucks with the tag like “more coffee, less bucks”. While I liked the visit I’m glad I had chosen to stay in the newer part of town in my 1 bedroom apartment. Such a nice place to relax and have a chill day.
