It was a Capital day

We started out going to the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort, KY. The building was closed because of construction. The Capitol building has not had any major upgrades for 70 years!
After that we went to a cemetery. Daniel Boone and his wife, Rebecca, are buried there. I guess there is some controversy as to whether Boone is really buried here or in Missouri. He was initially buried in MO, but he was dug up and moved to KY. It was really easy to drive in and find the memorial, but it was hard finding our way out of the cemetery!
Before we checked into our hotel, we went by the West Virginia State Capitol. It sure does have a shiny dome!
Then we went to the hotel. I had to check around our room to make sure it was free of any crumbs that housekeeping might have left behind. I'm sad 😔 because they did a really good job and I couldn't find anything!Read more
