Malolo Island

We arrive in the dark at the Funky Fish Resort. We are soaking wet and I mean soaking lol
We collect our luggage and drag it up the short walk to reception, the manager sees that we are saturated and offers us the keys, and a shower before heading to dinner and he will check us in later. Thank god lol
We head to our hut and its budget! 2 single beds, a small fridge and an outdoor style bathroom. Think our luggage takes up 90% of the room space.
Everything in our bags is fairly damp despite being wrapped in plastic so that's not a good time. We have nowhere to hang things and it's still raining so no hope outside. We shower and change and head to dinner.
It's explained that the meals are shared and eaten like a family at tables so you can meet people.

This is our home for the next 3 nights and honestly one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were great and super friendly, and the meals were good homemade and filling (kid loved them) There were books to read, 8ball, music all day and all night lol, pool, Snorkelling off the beach, volleyball etc
We were out every day diving but managed to friends with an NZ couple and play cards with them In the evening.Read more
