Breakfast with Ron & Ann, from Pilgrimage in Place (PIP). So good to catch up in person and hear stories of their adventures. Met their friend Joan.

Walked to station for train to León. Views of the Meseta. Stork nests on abandoned factory chimneys

Abby being called back by a stranger to get her umbrella 🌂 in the station
Harry-Potter-esque search for our apartment. The alleys of León go every which way!

Early dinner at restaurant outside. Fish & salad

    León Cathedral - WOW!
Caught the end of Mass at Cathedral's church
Lit candles for Aunt Virginia, whose memorial was today

Shooed out of Cloisters and Cathedral
Saw a wedding start from the plaza, then they closed the big wooden doors
Wandered around and stumbled across Catholic marching bands processing to honor St. John the Evangelist (Wha.....?!?!?!) Several bands, big booming drums, a "float" with the saint statue on it being lifted by a cast of thousands (Well, maybe dozens). Crowds in the streets.

Stopped in at Día, a supermercado, for drinks and snacks

Back to the apartment and REST
