Day 29: Sunday Siesta

Slept in late and grabbed a quick yogurt and leftover donuts from Astorga
Went out to stroll around the town, hoping for something quieter than yesterday's madhouse, and found we were ringside to a 10k. 😅
Decided to walk around the city walls, and stumbled upon the Casona de Puerta Castillo, a museum about the Roman foundations of the city of León
FANTASTIC!
Continued wandering around the walls after the museum closed for siesta and found ourselves in the same plaza where we saw the marching bands
Lunch: pizza with everything, ensalada mixta, and sangria. Creme brulee for dessert
Blocked down big watercolor shapes before lunch, and added colored pencil definition afterwards. Joe was a sport.
Wandered home for a restroom break and ended up napping a couple of hours (!!!)
Caught up on posting sketches on IG until Abby & Eric invited me out for gelato - first time since Porto!!!
