About coffee and Bhutanese Guests

Eine Kollegin wird im Juni einen Coffee-Shop eröffnen, das ist hier so DAS Ding. Alle lieben es, in Coffee Shops abzuhängen. Heute war bei ihr zu Hause eine Einweisung in die Kaffeemaschine und die unterschiedlichen Zubereitungsarten angesagt, wozu ich kurzerhand eingeladen wurde. Aber vor der Arbeit erstmal essen: es gab Mekong-Fisch. Ich finde es ja mega, dass im hier alle ihre Küche draußen haben. Danach ging es für die anderen ab an die Maschine, ich war nur Testimonial. Nach drei oder vier Kaffee habe ich aufgegeben, nicht nur wegen des Koffein-, vor allem wegen des Zuckerschocks.

Weil nach dem Essen vor dem Essen ist, bin ich gleich zur nächsten Verabredung: heute sind zwei Mitarbeiter des bhutanischen Pendents zum WFDF in Laos angekommen. Bernd, der seit ca. 6 Monaten gemeinsam mit seiner Freundin aus Bhutan in Laos lebt, hat 6 Jahre dort gelebt und war bis dahin ihr Chef - das Projekt seines Lebens. Die beiden machen die die IT und tauschen sich diese Woche mit unserer IT aus.

Fun Fact: Wenn ich nicht nach Bhutan gehen kann, dann kommt Bhutan eben zu mir.☺️ und eine Einladung zum Hiken im Himalaja habe ich auch gleich bekommen.😉

A colleague is going to open a coffee shop in June, that's THE thing here. Everyone loves to hang out in coffee shops. Today, at her home, an introduction to the coffee machine and the different methods of preparation was announced, to which I was summarily invited. But before work of course they had to eat: there was Mekong fish today. I think it's great that everyone here has their kitchen outside, I loved to cook there. Then it was off to the machine for the others, I was just a testimonial. After three or four coffees I gave up, not only because of the caffeine but mainly because of the sugar shock.

After lunch is before dinner, so I'm straight to the next appointment: today two employees of the Bhutanese counterpart to the WFDF arrived in Laos. Bernd, who lives in Laos with his girlfriend from Bhutan for about 6 months, lived there for 6 years and was her boss until then - the project of his life. The two are responsible for the IT and will exchange ideas with our IT department during this week.

Fun Fact: If I can‘t go to Bhutan, then Bhutan will come to me.☺️ and I immediately received an invitation to hike in the Himalayas.😉Leggi altro
