Bye Bye Bangkok

Als ich mich von Thomas verabschiede dämmert es schon so langsam, trotzdem habe ich noch etwas Zeit einen weiteren Punkt auf meiner Bangkok-Bucketliste abzuhaken. Auch wenn es mir am Abreisetag wirklich schwer fällt noch etwas zu machen (1. habe ich Angst, mich zeitlich zu vertüdeln, 2. freue ich mich schon riesig aufs heim kommen!), bin ich noch in den Wat Pho.

Eines der Highlights hier ist der große, goldene liegende Buddha (Basti, wieder extra für dich mit Zehen😉), aber auch die Tempelanlage an sich ist sehr schön. Auch hier waren wieder sehr hübsch angezogene Thais und lauter Photografen mit großen Kameras. Scheint ein Trend hier zu sein.

Je dunkler es wurde, desto nervöser wurde ich, also habe ich den Tempelbesuch nicht weiter in die Länge gezogen sondern habe mich zurück ins Hostel bringen lassen. Nach einer Dusche und dem Umpacken meines Rucksacks für den Flug heißt es Bye bye Bangkok und auf zum Flughafen! Dort habe ich ein letztes Mal Mango mit Kokosreis gegessen und bin dann nach etwas Verspätung voller Vorfreude in den Flieger!

As I say goodbye to Thomas, it is already slowly getting dark, but I still have some time to tick off another item on my Bangkok bucket list. Even though I find it really hard to do anything on the day of departure (1. I'm afraid of wasting time, 2. I'm really looking forward to coming home!), I still go to Wat Pho.

One of the highlights here is the large, golden reclining Buddha (Basti, again especially for you with toes 😉), but the temple complex itself is also very beautiful. Here, too, there were very nicely dressed Thais and lots of photographers with big cameras. Seems to be a trend here.

The darker it got, the more nervous I became, so I didn't drag out the temple visit any longer and had myself taken back to the hostel. After a shower and repacking my backpack for the flight, it's bye bye Bangkok and on to the airport! There I ate mango with coconut rice one last time and then, after a slight delay, boarded the plane full of anticipation!
