Stuck in Koh Tao

My actual plan was to stay a bit longer in Koh Tao to improve my diving skills and calm down after 4 months of rushing through countries and sights. I imagined to stay maybe 10 days at a max and then go north to see Pai and Chaing Mai. Well, now I’m here since 11 days and it doesn’t look like I‘ll leave this island in the next days... But to be honest, the main reason I stuck here isn’t the beautiful island with the paradise-like beaches, awesome viewpoints and good snorkelling spots and also it’s not the huge amount of dive sites. A few days ago I met the most amazing people and we kind of developed to one big family. I’ve never felt such a strong bond in a group. It’s so great to know that you have people all around the world who care about you and like you just in the way you are. This experience is definitely one of my highlights during my whole journey and also during my whole life (but I’m young though 😂).
I’ll never forget how awesome these guys are! Although it is (was) so hard to say goodbye to them, I am so so so glad that I had the chance to meet them and had such a great time with them. I love you guys 💛
