Day 3 Lake Ohau to Omarama

We left Ohau Lodge to tackle the steepest part of our trip, heading along the Ohau ranges. It was a gradual climb to the top at 900m but much easier than we expected. We then headed down and joined the road just after our lunch stop at the historic woolshed which is no longer there. Some of us took the 8km diversion to the Clay Cliffs which was well worth it apart from the dust from passing cars. We arrived in Omarama mid afternoon in time for our late afternoon hot tub soak.
