Tuscany to Central Lazio

The poor people! I kept saying "siestog and shame". They live in marble houses on hills with Cypress lined farm roads, olive orchards and grape vineyards. Probably a Ferrari in the garage. They have no idea how wonderful it is to live in casa common people :-)
Had Breakfast in Sienna with its beatifull cathedral Piazza del Campo a tourist hotspot indeed. Then Orvieto on top of a mountain with breathtaking views of the did I mention "siestog" Tuscans.
Lunch was again supermarket rolls with salami and cheese. Baker said they were too "bambino" for us.
Lots of bad Itallian tarred roads from there till we had enough and took the highway to Rieti and our B&B.
Met the SAC film crew at dinner tonight. Wonderfull chaps from Belgium so we spoke Afrikaans and Flemish.
The Italians have less Engliah in their arsinal the further south we travel. Google translate is a great tool.
Tomorrow we head south west past Naples (optipnal) and back to the Tyrrehnian sea.Leggi altro
