Sunset State Beach Campground

We have a love/hate relationship with California State Parks. You have to pay $45/night to stay at a state park with NO hook-up and, if you are lucky, they have showers BUT it’s going to cost you $1.25 in quarters for a normally cold 5 minute shower. And, once again, IF you are lucky and they have a dump station, their latest way to get more money is a machine that requires a $10 fee in order to open the poop thingy at the dump station. After all that, you would think these campgrounds would be pristine. Nope. Roads suck and the facilities look like they haven’t been updated since the 1950’s. WTF. Texas/Utah/Arizona all have a large RV community and their state parks are updated, maintained, clean and don’t charge all the nickel and dime fees. Now that I’m done with my rant, you can’t beat the natural beauty of the land.Leia mais
