Ronda and El Churro, Spain

After leaving Granada we headed inland towards Ronda for lunch (Maccas lol). Ronda is a beautiful town set high in the mountains. We walked along the cliff side park towards Puento Nuevo or the ‘New Bridge’, which is what Ronda is famous for. The bridge is built an impressive 120 meters above the valley, between two cliff faces. Construction on the bridge was finished over 200 years ago. The town of Ronda is a quaint but touristy area with plenty of souvenir shops and cafes.

After lunch we began the hair raising drive along the cliff sides towards our accomodation in El Churro. Our little house was set upon a hill with beautiful views out to the Spanish countryside. The house itself was just like a Repunzel house - with a winding staircase and fireplace. Everything was beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately at around 9pm we had a sudden blackout, which made our cosy home absolutely terrifying! No matter, we just played cards by phone light and went to bed ready for another big day of exploring.Weiterlesen
