Broadway to Winchcombe - 11.5 Miles

Set off in the rain bright and early and after a brief stop to pick up provisions in Broadway we headed on. Walk took us up into the clouds and onto the village of Stanton with its beautiful high street and church which dated back over a thousand years. Enjoyed our lunch on the hill above Wood Stanway and after a slight detour we made our way down through the small hamlet of Farmcote and past the remains of the Cistercian Abbey in Hailes onto the picturesque town of Winchcombe with its ornate almshouses from where we caught a bus back to our accommodation in Cheltenham.
