Ryeford to Cam - 8.2 Miles

In the morning we caught the train from Cheltenham to Stonehouse and shared the carriage with some Royal Ascot punters! We rejoined the walk at Ryeford, crossed the Stroudwater Canal and River Frome and headed past the Stanley Mills. We walked uphill through the Penn and Stanley Wood and past Nympsfield Long Barrow. The path was shared with runners participating in a charity run which began in Cirencester, some running as far as 100km. The walk took us on past Uley Long Barrow and up over Cam Long Down where we had lunch with beautiful views. After lunch walked over Peaked Down before finishing in the small village of Cam.
