Painswick to Ryeford - 10.1 Miles

Started our walk in beautiful Painswick leaving the churchyard famous for its 99 yew trees. We headed uphill past a number of disused quarries to Haresfield Beacon and Standish Wood. A superb Cotswold landscape of mixed woodland and open grassland with extensive views across to the Severn Estuary. At Ryeford took the bus to Stroud for a quick explore before heading back to Cheltenham.
