Started the day by heading to Cathedral , could only go part way in as service about to start . Then headed to a convent, where nuns sell biscuits , you put money on rotating cupboard and the biscuits miraculously arrive .
Then headed down to the Reina Sophia art gallery . There we saw Picasso’s Guernica and also some Dali and Miro.
Had a walk around the Tropical Gardens but not much out in colour yet. Hot day so nice to get some shade .
For late lunch we had Churros and chocolate.
Another siesta and then off to a well known local restaurant. Wendy tried the local cocido, their specialty ,which had some suspect meat / offal and I had a whole leg of lamb, needless to say another walk was required before bed, when most of Madrid seemed to be out promenading too.Læs mere
