Kandy Stopover

Travelling alone is very easy for Abi and Me. Travelling as a couple is nice, as you can still do your own thing, while you hang out with your partner.
Travelling as a family with a young one is very challenging. There is almost no space in the plane, the routine is completely gone for the toddler, you are tired and you still have to be fun and entertain the little ones.

We struggled a little bit travelling overseas but we landed safe and with all our luggage in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
From there we took a minivan Taxi towards the beautiful Kandy, where we arrived at 7am. After a little local breakfast we headed straight to our first host and took a 2 hour nap.
We were surprised about heat in the mountains, but enjoyed some walks and a big playground. Our first impression of Sri Lanka is really good. The people are very friendly and the food very tasty.Read more
