Artisan Inn, Trinity

Aug 2 - We were up and packed early to have breakfast before heading out in the zodiacs for the whale watching advanture with
Skipper Bob. We all donned great weatherproof suits, the day was foggy - but as we got out on to the ocean the sky cleared and we got a great deal of sun! Skipper Bob took us along the coast to see eagles nesting on the sharp cliffs, terns, gannets etc. He was on the watch for whales and we think we saw one porpoise. He didn't give up though and we want further until we found about 4 whales (and one baby) feeding on the caiplin. We were right up close with them and got great photos! The tour lasted over 3 hours. We landed and moved over to our cabin at Artisan Inn - Cove Cottage. Beautiful, on the ocean, quaint and fully stocked!
The afternoon was spent walking the Skeewink Trail - 5.6 km and some spots quite steep. The trail snaked along the ridge and the views were spectacular! After working up an appetite we returned to the cottage just in time to change for dinner at the Inn - great lamb shank!Läs mer
