• Cream-filled dreams, Castles & Cold Dive

    June 22, 2025 in Poland ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

We kicked off the day with what might just have been the breakfast of the trip—thanks to a great tip from Puya’s colleague (yes, that mysterious third guy popping up in some of our pics). The magical place? An “Eklerownia”—a shrine to eclairs where they serve nothing but these glorious, cream-filled masterpieces. 🥹 Pure, sugary bliss.

Afterwards we headed to the beach to cool off from the sizzling heat. Apparently, half the city had the same idea—it was Sunday, after all. Next on our adventure list was the legendary Malbork Castle, the largest brick castle on Earth. And guess what? Everyone else had that idea too. The queue looked like it had been imported from Disneyland. So, instead of baking in line, we cruised over to charming Torun—because if you can’t tick another UNESCO, you should visit another one!

We wrapped up the day with a roasty 30°C evening with a light salad in the gorgeous old town of Poznan. Because nothing says summer quite like pretending salad is a responsible life choice after eclairs for breakfast. 😄
