• Exploring Our Fascinating Backyard

    On our second day in Tenerife, we decided not to chase sights across the island but to get to know the neighborhood around our coast. We’re staying on the quiet east side of the island - the part often described as “the windy desert side.” Sounds harsh, but in reality, it’s a hidden gem: fewer tourists, wide open views, and the kind of calm you secretly hope for on holiday.

    Our walk turned out to be more eventful than expected. First, we spotted little crabs scrambling over the volcanic rocks and fisher men living in volcanic caves . Then we stumbled upon an unfinished leper station from the 1940's —creepy but fascinating.

    Eventually, the path opened up to a beautiful sunny view of the Atlantic and neigbour island Gran Canaria!

    After clocking quite a few steps, we rewarded ourselves with some downtime at our infinity pool and jacuzzi. Floating there with nothing but sky and ocean in front of us...
