• My final coastal walk

    August 30, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

With only two weeks left to go, I did my final coastal walk. For the first time, I did it alone and it was very cathartic.

It took around 5 hrs. I started at 9,15am and was back at 2,30. I spent around 30 minutes at lighthouse having a snack and resting.

The animals were out today and scared the life out of me on multiple occasions. A massive lizard thing crawled out in front of me when I was not paying attention. I ended up seeing 4 of them on my walk, each time I was unnerved. They are massive and like to just stare at you from the bushes.

Just after I set off on my way back from the lighthouse I nearly stepped on a tiny snake. Would not recommend, the heart attack it gave me nearly killed me. I did not enjoy that. I don't know what kind it is and I did not stick around of long enough to look closer at it.

It was boiling out, probably 25° with no cloud cover and I was melting by the time I got home.
