    October 31, 2024 in Czech Republic ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

We bought hop on hop off bus tickets to get around the city. They started at the main train station. The modern station was added to the hisyoric art deco style old station that was built in 1918, and it was only 5 min from our hotel. We wrote both bus routes and listened to the city history. The new town was built the 14th century during the reign of Carlos IV. It was build in 2 years and designed with very square street blocks.
We also visited the Alfonse Mucha museum. He was the main art deco painter in Paris and did most of the art deco posters seen everywhere in advertising. But he was originally from Moravia and moved back to Czechia after its independence in 1918 at the end of WWI.
For dinner, we ate at a traditional Czechian restaurant located in the basement of the Opera house. I had roasted pigs knee/knuckle. It was crispy and very tender.
