Traditional Czechian dishes have a lot of game-mainly deer/venison, boar, and duck. Laura also had roasted pheasant one time. We also had venison and boar cheeks.
The best restaurant we've been to was called Zvonice, and it was located on the 8th and 7th floors of the St Henry's tower-2 blocks from our hotel. We had an amazing meal there.
I started with a sauerkraut potato soup with mushrooms and bacon. Then I had boar tenderloin with mushroom ragout and blackberry sauce. Laura had venison tenderloin with 2 kinds of dumplings in wine sauce and cranberries. Her sauce was the best we had. For desert, Laura had a
chestnut mouse, and I had chocolate truffles that had chocolate ganash in them. Neighbor tables had venison cheeks, lamb shank, and trout. See pictures.
The building had dark wood inside and had an 500+ year old bell. On the 4th floor, there were pictures of the restoration of the 800+ year old tower.
