The Big Orange - Gayndah

Leaving Bruce hwy for a moment we venture into Burnett river to visit two iconic Big Things.

The first of them is the "Big Orange" located on the Burnett highway as one enters Gayndah, unfortunately it was closed at the time of my visit, nevertheless I got some really good shots with my camera before continuing to Mundubbera.

To get there we continue North on Bruce Highway, pass Gympie and then turn left onto Wide Bay highway some 15 minutes North of Gympie. Continue over Wide Bay Highway (which was in really good conditions) until Kilkivan (some 30 minutes), continue through Kilkivan (follow the signs for Gayndah) and then take the Kilkivan - Tansey road (careful on this road which is in really bad shape, some sections of the road are practically missing), some 25 - 30 minutes later one arrives to the intersection with the Burnett highway turning right onto this highway (which is not in that bad condition), Gayndah is an hours drive from there.
