Los Angeles - night before departure

Got in 20 minutes early. Smooth flight - 4 hours and 1 bag of pretzels. I call that rather pathetic. Called the WINGATE to arrange our shuttle to the hotel. Very nice hotel room. Got a Travel Agent rate which made it all the better. Showed up in about 15 minutes - nice guy - told us restaurants to eat at close to the hotel, but in the end, we chose to look at Yelp and found a place about 1/2 mile away. Nice stroll in mid 60 degree weather. Nice to get off our butts from sitting all day! Went to a nice Mexican restaurant - favorited by the locals you could tell. Think we were the only Gringos I saw. Everybody was super friendly to us (wait staff and people sitting near us) and made us feel right at home. Had a few beers and some fine food, followed up by a killer Flan. Best one we’ve ever had. Coconut flan - super creamy - not watery stuff here. Delicious.Leggi altro
