Suite journée 1 à Arequipa

La journée s’est poursuivie par la visite de la cathédrale d’Arequipa, un impressionnant édifice de style néo-Renaissance qui domine toute la Plaza de Armas. L’intérieur est majestueux, avec ses grandes colonnes, ses vitraux colorés et son imposant orgue importé d’Europe. On peut également monter jusqu’au clocher pour profiter d’une belle vue sur la ville.

Ensuite, direction le mirador de Yanahuara, situé dans un quartier un peu en hauteur. De là, on a une vue panoramique superbe sur la ville et surtout sur les volcans Misti, Chachani et Pichu Pichu. C’est un endroit parfait pour faire une pause et prendre quelques photos avec les fameuses arches en pierre blanche.

En fin de journée, j’ai terminé en beauté avec un apéro dans un petit bar local, où j’ai découvert un cocktail typiquement péruvien que je ne connaissais pas encore : l’algarrobina.

The day continued with a visit to the Arequipa Cathedral, an impressive neo-Renaissance building that towers over the entire Plaza de Armas. The interior is majestic, with tall columns, colorful stained glass windows, and a massive organ imported from Europe. You can also climb up to the bell tower for a beautiful view of the city.

Next, I headed to the Yanahuara viewpoint, located in a slightly elevated neighborhood. From there, you get a stunning panoramic view of the city, especially of the Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu volcanoes. It's the perfect spot to take a break and snap a few photos under the famous white stone arches.

To end the day on a high note, I enjoyed an aperitif in a small local bar, where I discovered a traditional Peruvian cocktail I had never tried before: the Algarrobina.Baca lagi
