• The farm at Walters peak

    May 31, 2025 in New Zealand ⋅ ☁️ 5 °C

After yesterday's 13hr bust trip I had a lie in and a late start ...especially as i could hear the wind howling outside...but it was a beautiful sunny day and there was snow ❄️ on the mountains which was so picturesque...
I decided to take the boat 🚢 trip from.Queenstown to the farm at Walters Peak ..The next available trip was 3pm so I had a wander round some of the shops ,primarily looking for thick tights as my legs are cold 🥶. I had a traditional street food pancake with lemon and sugar.

The scenery here is stunning and to be honest photos don't do it justice.
An enjoyable boat ride to the farm ,despite the choppy water the boat remained steady ..
We were greeted at the farm ,shown around a few animals, which could be fed ,then given afternoon tea ..which was very nice .
After this, we had time to go in the gift shop before a demonstration of sheep shearing and the sheep 🐑 being rounded up by the sheepdog...which is always good to see
Returning to Queenstown ,I opted for a taxi back to the hostel...it was cold windy and dark and I'd be on my own ..
    An enjoyable day
