Carretera Austral and ferries!

I went with the bus from Puerto Montt at 07 this morning. The owner of my hostel in PM was nice enough to drive me to the bus. There was a beautiful sunrise, and the hostel have a panoramic view over the city.

The trip from PM to Chaiten took about 10 hours, and we went on two ferries. One of them took 5 hours. It was a nice trip with beautiful nature surroundings.

I could have taken a boat that takes 5 hours from Chilóe to Chaitén, but I really wanted to do the Carretera Austral and ferries, even though the Patagonian fjords remind me a lot about Norway.Read more
