Happy birthday to our lovely first grandchild Kiera Leanne, mummy to our first great granddaughter Arwen Hazel Katie xxxxx

Booked on the 1110 steam train from Caernarfon to Beddgelert, It is a 1 ½ hour run each way and we have about 1 ¼ hour on the ground before returning. Lovely run out and back and while it cost over a £100 for the two of us, in our opinion it was well worth it. Lovely afternoon. Met with Nigel and Pippa from Castleton, north of Bakewell in Derbyshire. They are on a campsite in their motorhome and they also towed up their Avon Searider RIB to play in the Menai Strait. Great chatting with them, they were very interested in looking at Wight Mistress and we invited them to visit us tomorrow.

Arrived back at Wight Mistress late ish afternoon in time for John Wassell and his wife Liz to join us for a look around. John is in the process of purchasing F34 Jojon(?) which had spent her life in Portugal and is now in Falmouth (?) They enjoyed their visit and we think they went away encouraged by what a Fisher 34 has to offer.

Quizz night in the Royal Welsh Yacht Club. We wandered along the castle walls and found the club through a secluded doorway and up stairs in one of the towers. Lovely folk, very welcoming Joined in a quiz team, came last. Hey ho. Great night.

One thing Steve does is to try to learn the phrase ‘2 beers please, my friend will pay’ in as many languages as he can. Tonight Chloe, the daughter of JJ (one of our quiz team) joined us for the quiz, and she taught us it in Welsh. Steve now needs to practice….
