Rainforest and Water Holes Hike

We booked a Waterfall and Rainforest Hiking Adventure with Hike Maui for today. Unfortunately Nick’s sunburn was really bothering him this morning so he decided to stay at the condo. He insisted that Jack and I should still do the hike, so we did.

We drove to a park and ride in Kahului where we met up with the guide, Shelby, who drove our group to the hiking area in a large van. The hiking area overlapped with our first waterfall on our Road to Hana trip- Twin Falls, but we hiked in quite a bit of the “private” area so we saw three more water falls and water holes, and quite a bit more rainforest vegetation. The guide took pictures or me and Jack by some huge bamboo, and provided a simple sandwich lunch. It was nice to get out for the hike, but we missed Nick while we were out.

As it turns out, Nick used the time well while we were gone, checking off several sessions of an online training course he’s taking for a cool audio-visual cuing system for live performances.Read more
