Day 44 - mile 703 Kennedy Meadows

My arrival at Kennedy Meadows is a big milestone for me. From the beginning, I wasn't too sure that this was a place I would see in person. Having everyone gathered at the general store ring the bell and cheer for me on my arrival was something I won't forget.

There are a lot of hikers here. I was surprised and happy to see Slider again! I'm sorry he was delayed a bit after coming down with a bug. He is doing better now, and we will be heading back out on the trail together.

FYI, the PCT is divided into five regions that are each distinctly unique.
Southern California (desert) - 703 miles
Central California (Sierras) - 450 miles
Northern California - 567 miles
Oregon - 430 miles
Washington - 500 miles

If the PCT were all desert, it would have had no appeal. The parts that make this an amazing trail for me are the parts that lie ahead. Now the real hiking can begin! 😃Okumaya devam et
