Traveler Apparently, it's a dish that people eat in rural areas. Originally, it was meant to use stale bread, to avoid wastage. It was indeed yummy.
Laurie Reynolds Oh, duh, you had mentioned migas de la tierra in your write-up. Melon, sardines (?) and green pepper must be the toppings. I LOVE the Spanish melon, and it is almost never grown in the US for some strange reason. Were there still functional baths? What a great adventure for you two.

Traveler Love those wee cermanic pots - shame you can’t buy stuff enroute (weight etc). I remember being in Córdoba in may2012 when they open many courtyard to public and being amazed at how beautiful they make their courtyards with pots and other plants including hanging type. The pots in your pic are becoming quite popular back home in Oz too.
