911 Museum.

What a meaningful and well designed museum. I am so glad I decided to come here. And I got lucky that I was the first one in and got to experience it all on my own for quite a while. Too difficult to put into words all that is on display, but it brought back all the feelings experienced all those years ago. I was able to find the picture and profile for the man from my high school who worked on the 108th floor of the north tower. I saw the same news footage I watched that day. And I learned a ton about the timeline and recovery. There were pictures of empty ambulances waiting in a line to be dispatched before they realized there weren't enough people who lived that needed them. I remember calling the hotline to volunteer as a nurse, only to get the reply that there was no need for medical help. What an unbelievably awful day.
I'm glad I went to see this important memorial.
Oh, and I had my #3 bagel. I tasted it 1 out of 10. Would not recommend. But the squirrel sitting next to me sure had a hankering for it.Baca lagi
