After an 8 hour flight, 1 hour wait to get our visa’s approved and a drive through crazy traffic, we have reached our hotel for the night.
Hanoi

After a morning of walking around Ho Chi Minh we flew to Hanoi. Checked into our hotel, went and had dinner and a walk around the streets. Dinner and 2 beers - 180,000 dong or $10.80!
Ho Chi Minh Mousoleum's Complex

City Tour

The rest of the city tour took us to the railway track for the train to Sapa. Talk about being close to houses! We finished by having lunch at the restaurant President Obama ate in.
Foodie Tour at Night

Sapa

Up early this morning for the 5 1/2 hour drive to Sapa. What a beautiful place with the most magnificent views. Staying on the 6th floor of Sapa Vista, absolutely stunning.
Cat Cat Village

In the afternoon we went on a trek with our guide and her 3 month old baby girl to the Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. BlackEn savoir plus

We had the opportunity to see into the home of a family on our trek. It was so very small, and they also use the top floor area as a store room for corn they dry to feed the pigs and chickens. EvenEn savoir plus
Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai Village

Arrived back into Hanoi from Sapa around 9pm. Staying at the Splendid Star Grand for tonight. Bit of a room size difference compared to last night!
Rosa Cruise

On board the Rosa Cruise around Ha Long Bay. Got extra spoilt with a bottle of red as a gift for our honeymoon. Even tried squid fishing with bamboo rods at the end of the night. Mark caught 2!!
Ha Long Bay

3 hour bus trip from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay. What an amazing place with emerald coloured waters and over 2000 limestone islands topped by rainforests. Was so peaceful cruising taking in the views.
Pearl Farm

Tai Chi and Cooking Class

After the 3 hour drive back to Hanoi from Ha Long Bay, we have checked into the Kings Palace Hotel and Spa. Went to a nice restaurant for dinner and Mark had to try the ribs! Ended the day with a wellEn savoir plus
Da Nang

Today we flew from Hanoi to Da Nang. After a short 1 hour flight we checked into the Central Hotel and Spa. After a walk around we cooled off with a swim in the roof top pool. The views were great.
Han River and Dragon Bridge

Finished off the day with a walk along the beautiful Han River. The Dragon Bridge looks amazing all lit up at night.
Ba Na Hills

After leaving Da Nang this morning we drove to the Ba Na Hills. We arrived at the Sunworld Park and had to travel to the top via cable car, the views were amazing (and a tab bit scary being so high!)
French Village
