On board the Rosa Cruise around Ha Long Bay. Got extra spoilt with a bottle of red as a gift for our honeymoon. Even tried squid fishing with bamboo rods at the end of the night. Mark caught 2!!
3 hour bus trip from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay. What an amazing place with emerald coloured waters and over 2000 limestone islands topped by rainforests. Was so peaceful cruising taking in the views.
Visited Ha Long Bay Pearl Farm. The two items needed to induce the formation of a cultured pearl are a piece of mantle and a nucleus. The mantle piece, taken from a donor oyster, is grafted into the gonad of the recipient oyster, along with a spherical shell bead nucleus. We saw how the technicians completed this process grafting up to 900 oysters a day. Was spoilt with Mark buying me a pearl necklace for my birthday.Read more

Today we flew from Hanoi to Da Nang. After a short 1 hour flight we checked into the Central Hotel and Spa. After a walk around we cooled off with a swim in the roof top pool. The views were great.
Finished off the day with a walk along the beautiful Han River. The Dragon Bridge looks amazing all lit up at night.
After leaving Da Nang this morning we drove to the Ba Na Hills. We arrived at the Sunworld Park and had to travel to the top via cable car, the views were amazing (and a tab bit scary being so high!)
Our first stop on the cable line was the French Village. It was very pretty, but like most theme parks, very busy!
