Day 3 - Another Sightseeing Day

Today I could unfortunately only sleep really bad, so we went late into the city. First we went to Orchard Road for nice breakfast - the cafe was so beautiful and full of flowers 😍! And the food was also super delicious. For a sandwich with fries and soda drink we paid only 12€. After that we went back to the hotel and refreshed ourselves to go to the Art Science Museum.

There were many nice and interactive exhibitions, similar to the Digital Art Museum in Japan only smaller but also cheaper and not so crowded. You could take pictures at your leisure and take your time. Which was very pleasant, because the weather outside was very ugh (of course exactly on the day on which we were hardly in malls).

Afterwards we finally went to the Gardens by the Bay! I had heard a lot about it and wanted to go there myself. It was also very beautiful in any case, and you can definitely take it once when you are there.

I had been so looking forward to the light show with the Sky Trees and we had grabbed something from Shake Shack for a bit (so yummy 🤤) but when we picked a spot I heard weird noises in the bush. Everyone said it's just the wind... but I had heard footsteps 😡... and of course we had a guest: a mouse that was not afraid of humans at all and wanted to steal our food 😭 Thanks to that I will always think of this moment when I see pictures of this place... have eaten my food then very quickly and got up... the show was still really nice but you should definitely not go very close, because it is already quite crowded. Oh, and take a jacket with you, because the greenhouses are air-conditioned and very cold....

After the scare we went to the Merlion and saw a nice lightshow. Our last point was a Hawker Center, Lau Pa Sat, it looked more modern than the Maxwell Hawker Center, but much was closed or was more expensive there 🥲... have therefore fetched a few skewers and some dumplings.

Now it is called pack our bags, tomorrow we go to Malaysia ✨

Heute konnte ich leider nur schlecht schlafen, deshalb sind wir erst spät in die Stadt gegangen. Zunächst sind wir auf der Orchard Road schön frühstücken gegangen - das Café war so schön und voller Blumen 😍! Und das Essen war auch super lecker. Für ein Sandwich mit Pommes und Soda-Drink haben wir umgerechnet nur 12€ gezahlt. Danach sind wir kurz zurück ins Hotel und haben uns aufgefrischt um zum Art Science Museum zu fahren.

Es gab dort viele schöne und interaktive Ausstellungen, ähnlich wie das Digital Art Museum in Japan nur kleiner aber auch günstiger und nicht so überfüllt. Man konnte in Ruhe Bilder machen und sich Zeit lassen. Was sehr angenehm war, da das Wetter draußen sehr drückend war (natürlich genau an dem Tag an welchen wir kaum in malls waren)

Im Anschluss sind wir endlich zu den Gardens by the Bay! Ich hatte schon viel davon gehört und wollte unbedingt selber hin. Es war auch jeden Fall sehr schön, und man kann es auf jeden Fall einmal mitnehmen wenn man dort ist.

Ich hatte mich so auf die Light-Show mit den Sky Trees gefreut und wir hatten uns noch kurz etwas von Shake Shack geholt (so lecker 🤤) aber als wir uns einen Platz ausgesucht haben hörte ich komische Geräusche im Busch. Alle meinten es ist nur der Wind… aber ich hatte Schritte gehört 😡… und natürlich hatten wir einen Gast: eine Maus die gar keine Angst vor Menschen hatte und unser Essen klauen wollten 😭 Danke das ich jetzt immer an diesen Moment denken werde wenn ich Bilder von diesem Ort sehen werde… habe mein Essen dann ganz schnell gegessen und bin aufgestanden… die Show war trotzdem echt schön aber man sollte auf jeden Fall nicht ganz knapp hingehen, da es schon ziemlich voll wird. Ach so, und eine Jacke mitnehmen, da die Gewächshäuser sehr kalt klimatisiert werden…

Nach dem Schreck sind wir dann zum Merlion gefahren und haben eine schöne Lightshow gesehen. Unser letzter Punkt war ein Hawker Center, Lau Pa Sat, es sah moderner aus als das Maxwell Hawker Center, aber vieles war zu oder war dort teuerer 🥲… haben deshalb paar Spieße geholt und ein paar Dumplings.
