Das Palaver ging bis weit in die Nacht hat uns aber kein bisschen am Schlafen gehindert. Als wir früh die Nasen aus der Tür stecken, sehen wir mit Vergnügen den leicht bewölkten blauen Himmel über dem weiten Meer. Bald darauf sind wir draußen unterwegs. Ach ja, Rupert hat, als ich noch im Bett lag, schon seine erste Trainingsrunde auf dem benachbarten Platz absolviert.
Es ist wirklich ein gut bestückter Calisthenics Park vor der schönen Küste von Naxos. Wir trainieren eine gute Stunde unter den Flügeln des Bronze-Engels Nike, der eigentlich die griechische Siegesgöttin Nike von Samothrake darstellt. Im Park steht ein Bogen, der die Nike einrahmt, wenn du sie durch ihn betrachtest.
Jetzt brauchen wir Frühstück und einen Mittagsschlaf. Ist genehmigt. Danach brechen wir Richtung Pozzallo auf und erreichen gegen Abend einen großen Platz am Meer. Morgen heißt es früh aufstehen, um 8 Uhr geht die Fähre nach Malta. Wir sind so gespannt!

The chatter went on until late into the night, but it didn't bother our sleep one bit. When we poked our noses out the door early this morning, we were happy to see the lightly clouded blue sky over the wide-open sea. Soon after, we were out and about. Oh yeah, Rupert was already done with his first workout session at the nearby spot while I was still in bed.
It’s really a well-equipped Calisthenics park right on the beautiful coast of Naxos. We worked out for a good hour under the wings of the bronze 'angel' Nike, who is actually the Greek goddess of victory, Nike of Samothrace. There's an arch in the park that frames the Nike statue perfectly when you look through it.
Now we need breakfast and a nap. That's approved! After that, we’re heading off towards Pozzallo and should reach a big spot by the sea this evening. We have to get up early tomorrow; the ferry to Malta leaves at 8 am. We're so excited!
