Day 4 in Vilnius

After a lay in (another late night) we our own breakfast from what we had left in the kitchen. We left our bags in the reception office and set off to the old town to see a few of the sights we had missed. Still sadly no go for museums etc as Monday is the usual closure day. Went to the presidential palace, saw the gate to the old town and nosed round the gift shops. There are lots selling only Amber so I assume it is plentiful in Lithuania. Stopped in the park for a refreshing mini jug of homemade lemonade with additional raspberries ( delicious ) Then meandered back through the main park and the old city and had our late picnic lunch in the local park relaxing on a convenient bench, under a large tree. Then we reluctantly walked back to collect our backpacks ready to start the return journey to England. We wanted to leave plenty of time so caught the 88 back to the airport at about 3.30, arriving at the airport by 4pm. The plane left on time and actually arrived in Stansted early! We are now back home after a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.もっと詳しく
