Birds Seen Between Stops

From Burketown to Cloncurry we often saw birds as we drove the highway. Sometimes we would stop and successfully get a decent photo. Pictures here are from Pam.

Brown Falcon

Great Wedge Tail Eagles seen a few times dining on road kill, usually in court with Torresian Crows, Whistling Kites and Brown Kites. It was interesting to watch the crows taking the head of the table while the kites waited in line. When the huge Wedge-tailed Eagle dropped in for lunch, the kites and crows all left. We have seen all these birds together in some cases.Read more
