15 Jun 2018, Australia ⋅ 🌙 8 °C
A few firsts on the first day - first post, first full self check-in at the airport with luggage, first free upgrade car rental, first time at The Big Pebble. It really is an awesome lump of stone.
The sun sets but shall rise again
16 Jun 2018, Australia ⋅ 🌙 17 °C
The early mornings in central Australia can be icy cold but well worth setting the alarm clock and donning a good jacket for a look at The Big Pebble as the dawn approaches and finally peeps above theBaca lagi

This is my first time in NT (a short transit at Darwin airport some years back does not count). There are three things that stand out when first arriving in Alice Springs - the surrounding ranges, theBaca lagi
There's no town like Alice

Some shots from Alice Springs ...
We hired a car at fairly short notice. After the excellent service from Hertz at Ayers Rock (the airport uses this name, the big pebble is called Uluru), we used themBaca lagi
A little train trip

The Ghan has been an iconic Australian rail journey for many years. Whilst it was once an epic trip with several legs with train changes and a variety of rail gauges en route from Adelaide to AliceBaca lagi
Craving for a good coffee
20 Jun 2018, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C
Just nicked downstairs to the local cafe to kickstart the day. Next thing I know, I'm sipping a coffee in an outer suburban shopping center wondering how that happened. Never mind, as they say, happyBaca lagi
On the buses
21 Jun 2018, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C
A free day today - buses are free for seniors. Put our lives at risk doing the mangrove walk and boardwalk. Quite a relief to know that it's not the season for angry box jellies, just those peskyBaca lagi
Kakadu, Australia

The hazards of Singapore
30 Jun 2018, Singapura ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

Gone fishing
2 Julai 2018, Singapura ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C
Time for some fishing. Aside from dodging ships of all sorts, floating litter and ducking under planes landing at Changi, there was time to drop some lines. A lovely day with the in-laws, only thingBaca lagi
Food Family and Friends
3 Julai 2018, Singapura ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C
Singapore is all about catching up with family and friends and eating. I lasted until our second last day before my wife succumbed to the increasing yearning for durian.
