Argeles-Sur-Mer

Wir sind in Argelès-sur-Mer, auf einem Camping-Car-Park-Stellplatz, auf dem ich schon mehrfach übernachtet habe. Argelès-sur-Mer liegt an der französischen Mittelmeerküste, nicht weit von der spanischen Grenze entfernt, und ist vor allem für seine langen Sandstrände und das beeindruckende Bergpanorama der Albères bekannt. Der Ort zieht viele Urlauber an, besonders in den Sommermonaten, doch auch außerhalb der Saison bietet er eine angenehme Atmosphäre.

Der Stellplatz gefällt mir besonders gut, weil er direkt an die Dünen angrenzt. Von dort aus gibt es wunderbare Möglichkeiten, mit Bryan spazieren zu gehen – theoretisch jedenfalls, denn dieses Mal klappt es nicht, da es in Strömen regnet. Zumindest hat Amelie Bryan kurz ausgeführt, während ich meine Einkäufe im Wohnmobil verstaue – so kam er noch in den Genuss eines Spaziergangs, bevor der Regen begann.

Ein großer Vorteil dieses Stellplatzes ist der asphaltierte Untergrund, was das Wohnmobil trotz des anhaltenden Regens sauberer hält als auf den vielen lehmigen Stellplätzen, auf denen ich zuletzt gestanden habe.

Auf der Anfahrt konnte ich die schneebedeckten Kuppen der Berge sehen – vermutlich die Pyrenäen. Ich hatte in der Vergangenheit bereits mehrfach versucht, sie zu fotografieren, doch sie sind einfach zu weit entfernt, um auf einem Bild wirklich prominent zu wirken. Es bleibt dabei: Ein schöner Anblick für die Augen, aber kein gutes Fotomotiv.

Es regnet die ganze Nacht hindurch, und egal, wie ich meine Routenplanung drehe und wende, es scheint keine Möglichkeit zu geben, in den nächsten Tagen dem Regen zu entkommen. Auch die Temperaturen sind spürbar gefallen, und ich ziehe in Betracht, durch Italien nach Hause zu fahren und den Gotthard-Tunnel zu nehmen.

Allerdings sind die Unterschiede nicht allzu groß, und so werde ich mich wahrscheinlich doch für die mautfreie Route über die A75 entscheiden.

Nous sommes à Argelès-sur-Mer, sur une aire de Camping-Car-Park, où j’ai déjà séjourné plusieurs fois. Argelès-sur-Mer se situe sur la côte méditerranéenne française, non loin de la frontière espagnole. La ville est surtout connue pour ses longues plages de sable et le panorama impressionnant des Albères. Elle attire de nombreux vacanciers, surtout en été, mais même hors saison, elle offre une atmosphère agréable.

L’aire de stationnement me plaît particulièrement, car elle se trouve juste à côté des dunes. De là, il y a de belles possibilités de promenades avec Bryan – en théorie du moins, car cette fois-ci, ce n’est pas possible à cause de la pluie battante. Heureusement, Amélie a eu la gentillesse de sortir Bryan un moment pendant que je rangeais mes courses dans le camping-car – il a ainsi pu profiter d’une petite promenade avant que la pluie ne commence.

Un grand avantage de cette aire est son revêtement en asphalte, qui permet de garder le camping-car plus propre, malgré la pluie incessante, contrairement aux nombreuses aires en terre battue où j’ai récemment séjourné.

Sur la route, j’ai pu apercevoir les sommets enneigés des montagnes – probablement les Pyrénées. J’ai déjà essayé à plusieurs reprises de les photographier, mais elles sont trop éloignées pour apparaître de manière vraiment marquante sur une image. Cela reste un beau spectacle pour les yeux, mais pas un bon sujet de photo.

Il pleut toute la nuit, et peu importe comment je tourne et retourne mon itinéraire, il ne semble pas y avoir de moyen d’échapper à la pluie dans les prochains jours. Les températures ont aussi nettement baissé, et j’envisage de rentrer par l’Italie et de prendre le tunnel du Gothard.

Mais les différences ne sont pas si importantes, donc je vais probablement préférer l’itinéraire sans péage par l’A75.

We are in Argelès-sur-Mer, on a Camping-Car-Park site, where I have stayed several times before. Argelès-sur-Mer is located on the French Mediterranean coast, not far from the Spanish border. The town is best known for its long sandy beaches and the stunning panorama of the Albères mountains. It attracts many visitors, especially in summer, but even outside the high season, it has a pleasant atmosphere.

I particularly like this motorhome area because it borders the dunes. From there, there are wonderful opportunities for walks with Bryan – at least in theory, because this time it is impossible due to the pouring rain. Fortunately, Amelie kindly took Bryan out for a short walk while I put away my groceries in the motorhome – so he got to enjoy a little outing before the rain started.

A big advantage of this site is its asphalt surface, which helps keep the motorhome cleaner despite the constant rain, unlike the many clay-based parking areas where I have stayed recently.

On the way here, I caught sight of the snow-capped mountain peaks – probably the Pyrenees. I have tried to photograph them several times before, but they are too far away to stand out prominently in a picture. They remain a beautiful sight for the eyes, but not a great photo subject.

It rains all night, and no matter how I adjust my route, there seems to be no way to escape the rain in the coming days. The temperatures have also dropped significantly, and I am considering returning via Italy and taking the Gotthard Tunnel.

However, the differences are not that significant, so I will probably opt for the toll-free route via the A75.Read more
