Tuesday, I took a train down to Nerang, which is near the border with NSW. My great nephew picked me up from the station and we went sightseeing to Currumbin, on the Gold Coast.
It was one of the first areas to be developed into a seaside tourist mecca, though it is greatly overshadowed by Surfers Paradise these days. We had lunch at the surf lifesaving club, then went to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and I caught the train back home in the evening.
