    The past few days I’ve felt like a migratory bird chasing time zones, but today I’ve finally learned how to be a truant from time itself.

    Slow down, and the world will start whispering its secrets to you.

    If a packed itinerary is the thread, then today is the deliberate gap left in between—the breathing space. I’m not here to tick boxes or chase check-ins; I’m here to remember: the sound of wind slipping through banyan leaves, the little lizard by the pool that seemed to peek at my journal, and the extra dish of spicy sambal the server quietly placed on my table. These moments are like scattered spices, slowly simmering into the very essence of the journey.

    Tomorrow I may wander to the shore to watch the sunset, but right now, all I want is to slowly savor this glass of fresh orange juice.

    It turns out that real travel means allowing yourself to “waste” a whole day—to discover the kind of joy that doesn’t require rushing anywhere at all.
