    Seminyak is such a peaceful and serene place! The restaurant sits right in the middle of the rice fields. The roast suckling pig and fried rice were both delicious, but my personal favorite was the açai bowl. My outfit even matched the colors of the fields perfectly… 🌾🍃

    A ginger‑striped cat stepped across the sun‑scorched stone stairs, its tail swaying like a slow pendulum. It bent down, its pink tongue just touching the surface of the pool water, and as the ripples spread, the whole world seemed to fall quiet.

    The heat had turned time thick and syrupy; even the breeze was dozing off among the coconut fronds.

    A server walked by holding an iced coconut and said with a smile, “He’s the boss here—comes every day to collect his ‘water tax.’”
    We both laughed. On this island, even the cats understand what people often forget: the heat isn’t an enemy, but a reason to pause.
