    Murgan

    The weather forecast looks good and so we headed off to Murgan. We had stayed here before, about 4 years ago. The town looks much more attractive, and prosperous. We had a pie from the bakery, which was highly recommended, and was very enjoyable. We haven't had a pie yet to beat the one bought in Heble. The park itself was pretty full and it was only 1.30pm. It was also very wet from all the recent rain. We had a concrete slab near the toilet block. Until recent times campers needed to pay $10 at the tourist information in town. and this entitled you to a key for the toilets and showers. However, a lot of people had suffered from flooding in March this year. Those homeless had been allowed to stay at the free camp, and so no key was needed for the toilet block. The block was clean with toilet roll paper, hand towels and soap. Ian got talking to one of out neighbours - a woman, who worked 3 days a fortnight as a carer, and spent her days off in this camp with her dog.
