Prague Day 3

Started the day off with a cheap baguette sandwich that was quite delicious- it had like chicken, caramelized onions, blue cheese, it was so good! After I went to the Dalì and Mucha art exhibitions, and they were great! It was funny that I’ve always really admired Mucha’s work, but didn’t realize that he was based in the Czech Republic! I was just gonna see Mucha’s but ended up going to see Dalì’s too which I’m super happy about because it was super conceptual, absurd, and interesting, whereas Mucha’s was more beautiful, decorative, and plain (? For lack of a better word?). After that, I had signed up for another tour, this time of the castle district, and I’d signed up to be at the same time as Sophie and Julia! It was a long 3 hour tour that went over the Charles Bridge, the church and castle in the castle district, and more. The castle was huge! Most ppl think that the church is the castle but it’s just inside. We watched the ceremony of changing of the guards which was cute i guess. The area overlooked the entire city which was quite stunning. After, I walked through the district a bit, and actually went inside and in between the castle walls where there were some little shops. After, I walked back down to the town and went to sit by the water for a little bit, and I went by Prague’s most narrow street. Then I went to meet that friend from Zürich for dinner, we got sandwiches- mine had Prague ham, pickles, and dijon mustard. We went to a park that was supposed to have a nice sunset viewpoint but there wasn’t really any view hahahahha. I walked on back to my hostel and stopped by the Astronomical Clock to watch the ‘show’ that occurs at every hour. Later, I went to meet Sophie and Julia and we were gonna go get drinks. However, we could not find a decent bar for the life of us, and Sophie was feeling ill. So she’d gone home, and Julia and I got a takeout drink and wandered around the town!! I swear Julia and I have the same ironic humour because she is hilarrriousss!!Leggi altro
