• Community living at Pun Pun

As for community-living, Punpun is in my opinion a perfect balance between a few simple rules (everyone helps a little) and.. no rules (anarchy is not a bad word here. At last !! 😊). A minimum requirement was to contribute to cooking 3 meals per week (I often paired with the "master cook", Pi Daeng, so as to learn about the making of delicious thai dishes ! But most people were excellent cooks...). The rest of the time, people are or course free to do whatever they please.

Outside or my volunteer's tasks, my stay was thus a pleasant combo of walks, runs, meditation, yoga, music-playing, reading... and simple good moments with the others. I got initiated to Thai boxing by my super dynamic and joyful co-volunteer "Yu", from southern Thailand, practiced Thai massage with Joep, a Dutch guy I had met previously near Chiang Mai, went biking with several people, coming back at night under a bright full moon... 🌝

Time for a simple, healthy and tasty life... It was hard to leave !
