Day 2

Woke up to a beautiful sunny morning, with just the perfect breeze! After a delicious breakfast, we only had to wander a few steps (30 meters, to be exact) to reach the beach. Carol and I enjoyed a lovely walk along the shore, stopping here and there to collect scallop shells for her grandson, Jax.

Later, Neil and I hopped on our bikes and rode into town, where we met Carol and Malcolm for a relaxing coffee. The boys headed back by car, while Carol and I stayed to do a bit of shopping—yes, we treated ourselves! With bags in hand and big smiles, we biked back home, feeling quite accomplished in our little shopping adventure.

Sadly, the afternoon took a turn as clouds rolled in and rain started to fall. We made the best of it, cozying up indoors and watching the raindrops dance outside.

Then, just as quickly as it came, the rain cleared, and the sun was back! We set ourselves up outside, soaking in the late-day rays with a classic fish and chips dinner. A few "drinkies" later, after a day of sunshine, shopping, and shell-hunting, I was ready for bed—content and happily tired!Lue lisää
